The so called Buddha’s Hand belongs to the cedar’s family. It is an old citrus which develops fruits similar to hands. This is why, it is called ‘digitata’. Internally it has no pulp and is seedless, it is eaten in salads, grated or used for its fragrance and essential oils. In the East it is considered to be a good luck charm and often adorns tables and spaces at times of celebration.
